    Hi JK

I am a volunteer with Yeovil Samaritans. We had a small presence at the first Pride event in the town and would very much like to do that again. Please can you get in touch so we can see how we can do that again.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Anina, We’re having to run a very similar event to 2019 (due to Covid) so you’re more than welcome to attend. If you have a team larger than 10, please let me know and we’ll manually book you in for the day! Thanks, JK

    Hi there!!

My dad passed away in Yeovil five years ago after being murdered for being trans and I only found out all of this last week due . I have found out other disturbing things related to coming out which I’m not ready to talk about publicly. I am still struggling with the pronouns and still use he/him but as I told my daughter (who is gay), I’ve spent 39 years of my life saying he/him, it’s gonna take a while for me to switch to she/her.

The thing is, I really wish I could come down for pride this year as its being held on what would’ve been my dad’s 64th birthday (21st August). But I am planning on coming down to Yeovil (i live in Lincoln) next year around his birthday, as today I found out that his ashes were eventually interred in a plot in the Yeovil crematorium garden of remembrance. Fingers crossed you have your pride event on at the same time as my dad’s birthday next year as I will definitely be joining in. Xx
